Thrust Restrained Joints
Traditionally, portable water and sewage pipes are buried under the varied ground condition. The surrounding conditions often affect the performance of joints. It would cause leakage by settlement. Moreover, there are a lot of disadvantages of the general flanges and joints welded at the site, so the service life and application of pipes are somehow limited. The solution can be found by using the Thrust Restrained Joints. The products have the advantages of resisting earthquake, flexible, and easy-assembly. The quality and the scope of application would be enhanced greatly.
The Features of Thrust Restrained Joints
The basic components are rubber rings and lock blocks. The structure is quite simple, and have the characteristic of easy processing and high stability. |
The spigot-bell ring are made by expanding and lathing method. The precision of diameter is high and anti-leaking is 100% ensured. |
Except the function of usual fluids conveying, the structure of the Axial Force Resistant Joints also offer the function of axial and radial restraining similar to welding. |
This joints can sustain the stress and settlement of earth during the earthquake. |
Without the traditional welding and flanges locking method, this could solve the problem of bad welding quality and coating damage. |
The steel pipe couplings are designed with radial lock that can solve the problem of partial deformation. |
The leakage test can be done right after the installation (connected with the water pressure hole) which could avoid the problem that leakage happens during pipe line commissioning. |
With the ability of resisting axial forces, the thrust block can be omitted or minimized. |
The joints are bell and spigot types. The two pipes are tested right after connecting. it is 100% guaranteed watertight. It only requires the dropping of lock blocks. Since welding and bolting is not necessary, the working site and time of installation is minimized. It is easy to disassemble by taking out the lock blocks from the bottom of the pipe.
