Kuo-Tung International Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Kuo-Tung) was established in 1978. It mainly designs, manufactures and assembles large-diameter water transmission and distribution pipelines. Its products include two major categories: steel pipe products and ductile cast iron pipes. It also extends to the design, construction and operation of complete plant equipment such as pipeline water transmission and distribution monitoring and management, trenchless pipeline engineering, tunnel pipeline engineering, shield tunneling engineering, special construction equipment, seawater desalination and water purification or sewage treatment.

In 2002, Kuo-Tung Corporation was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. In addition to undertaking the design, manufacturing, sales and installation of large-scale water transmission and distribution pipelines, it also ventured into water treatment engineering and seawater desalination. In 2004, it set up its first privately operated seawater desalination plant in Penghu. After more than ten years of actual plant operation experience, it integrated the equipment and technology of upstream and downstream seawater desalination in Taiwan and developed its own seawater desalination technology to solve the problem of increasingly scarce freshwater resources in Taiwan.

For over 40 years since its founding, Kuo-Tung Corporation has upheld a steady business approach, unwavering perseverance, and an innovative spirit, providing various engineering projects throughout Taiwan. Kuo-Tung's professional standing has been unanimously recognized by the engineering community and water conservancy enterprises. In the future, it will continue to undertake various water-related engineering projects under the Forward-Looking Infrastructure Development Program and will also take charge of various national strategic projects under the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Water Resources Agency's 10-year, NT$160 billion water resources development plan, including reclaimed water plants, new seawater desalination plants, regional water source dispatch networks, artificial lake construction, underground water extraction, and reservoir dredging.

In conjunction with the Water Resources Agency's "Pearl String Project" and other related water conservancy public works projects, leveraging its advantages in DIP and SP pipe production, coupled with its professional pipeline engineering experience, it provides comprehensive water resource solutions across multiple dimensions, including water supply dredging, water delivery (pipelines), water purification (water filtration systems), and water production (water treatment systems). In addition to seawater desalination, wastewater treatment, and greywater recycling, the company is also developing new water resources. Due to the impact of extreme climate, the number of typhoons in Taiwan has decreased in recent years, resulting in less rainfall and uneven distribution of rainfall from north to south. Therefore, water resource development has become increasingly important. In terms of water resource development, the company will cooperate with the government to develop new water resources by acquiring the Zengwen River tidal section water resource utilization model plant construction project, aiming to become a professional manufacturer of comprehensive water resources and enter the international market.
